Donate
How can you help Iasis to help others?
We rely on the generosity of our supporters to provide financial assistance in order to continue our current programmes, and to take on new projects in areas of need.
Iasis can reclaim the tax on your donation if you are a tax payer. Just remember to complete the gift aid form, and leave the rest to us.
We are currently in the process of making donating easier. We will be adding a ‘Just giving’ link in the very near future to help you donate to our projects.
Working hard for Charity
During the Summer term of 2011 a group of 60 Year 6 children from St Bernadette RC School based in South West London took part in the first ever school based fundraising event sponsored by Iasis! Each child was given £10 to start their own small business to raise funds for the work we are doing in Ethiopia.
Make up stalls, car washes and movie nights are to name but a few of the businesses which were run by the children. Every child managed to make at least 100% profit.
The winning group was run by two boys who revolutionised school dinners with the introduction of a meal deal; which included a hotdog, a drink and a packet of crisps. With only £20 capital the boys managed to make a staggering £250!
In total the children managed to make over £1200! With each eye cataract operation costing just £25, the children were able to restore the sight of 48 people.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms Deborah Hogan and the whole staff of St Bernadette RC School for their support and enthusiasm!
